OUR STORY
Hope Community Charter School, located in Camden, New Jersey, serves grades K–8. We opened in 2013 with grades K–2, adding one grade each year until reaching 8th grade in 2022–2023.
The school’s core focus is literacy, which transforms lives by fostering academic mastery, lifelong learning, creativity, and personal growth. Hope builds on each child’s curiosity, supports literacy development, and nurtures confidence, competence, and pride in achievement.
Guided by Roland Fryer’s “Five Tenets for Successful Schools,” Hope invests in teacher development, offers intensive tutoring, extends learning time, upholds high expectations, and uses data to drive instruction.
Hope fosters a culture of aspiration, accountability, care, and mutual support, empowering both students and staff to succeed.
